Following RSL to Seattle

I caught a early mourning flight from Salt Lake to Seattle that put at Sea-tac at around 10 in the mourning and set off for my hotel via bus. after dropping my luggage at the hotel I set off on a walk to the Seattle Center where I had tickets to see a show at Seattle Rep. Getting there with time to kill I decided to kill at the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame. Which was a great way to pass the time. Some of the displays on what Science Fiction is and what it is about came off a little basic to me but I have a feeling that they were great to people with less knowledge on the subject.

From there I went up to Seattle Rep and watched The Seafarer which I thought was great. I loved the way the play worked you see the gears turning and build and shifting to create the story.

After that I went back to the hotel where I made a quick change of clothes and set off to meet up with RSL fans for dinner at the Pyramid. After getting to the bar it took me forever to find to RSL fans because it was packed with seattle fans.

After waiting for awhile to get a table the group was shown to a private room which had an a great veiw of Safeco Field which I was all for as a Mariners fan

Rsl Supporters in Seattle

After a quick dinner as game time was getting ever closer the whole group of us set out for qwest chanting and singing. It is the closest I have experience to the party on the streets of Florence after Italy won the world cup. The support that Seattle fans that showed for their team gives me hope for the future of soccer in North America hopefully some day the riot well be filed with that much passion. This amazing support continued in the stadium. Most of the Seattle Fans were passionate yet respective of the traveling fans, with the exception of the asshole that ripped down one of my banners. It was a shame that the boys in Claret and Cobalt could not put a few in the net and ended up losing.

After the game Seattle and RSL fans met in the concourse and traded scarfs.

After that I split off from the RSL fans and made my way to back to my hotel. I stopped to ask a sounders fan where I could get food and we went on and on about this place called 13 coins. I said I could walk there but he won't stop until he called me a cab. So off I went in a cab and ended up the resturant which to his credit was excellent. After that I heading back to the hotel on foot and called it a night.

Sunday I woke up feeling all the walking i did the day before. I checked out from my hotel and set off to Pikes Place market. I had an excellent breakfast over looking pudget sound and picked up some art work. After spending the Afternoon at the Seattle Art Museum I head back to Salt Lake.

Following RSL to Colorado

Since RSL played their hated rivals the Colorado Rapids(from here on referred to as the Crapids) the day after my birthday I took a trip out to denver the see the game and relax.

The first part of the drive was on 1-80 shortly after Little America we cut off down to steamboat springs. After striking out on a hotel in steamboat. we slept in the car and had an excellent breakfast in Kremmerling. While crossing the pass after Winter Park the road had several of these signs which I found funny.

The first thing to do in Denver was to see the Denver Art Museum. Which had a large collection of really good art.

The next day was game day.
Showing my pride
I brought with me a banner form the Supporters group I am a member of in Salt Lake. I was one of three people to make the trip form the RCB and the only one of them to sit in the away supports section.

The away supporters section had about twenty people in it come game time.
